Detailed itinerary for Materuni waterfalls day tour & coffee tour / Trip
Materuni is the one of the Chagga tribes and is still an authentic tribal village, charming place which is just 15km away from Moshi Town and is the last village under the Kilimanjaro National Park.
You will be picked up in Moshi/Arusha in the morning to Materuni village to experience cultural trip with the Materuni waterfalls, by your guide who will be with you to Materuni Village destination. Upon arrival, you will register at the village office and your trip exploration begins.
Firstly, you will visit the Materuni waterfalls, which are around a 40-minute walk away from the village. On the way, your guide will tell you about the Chagga cultural tribe, village life and explain the surrounding fauna and flora. The views are truly breathtaking, and with some luck you will see the Mount Kilimanjaro summit area. The pool at the bottom of the Materuni waterfalls is an inviting place for a refreshing swim so do not forget your swim!
