The day usually starts with an early morning departure from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha, heading towards the west side of Mount Kilimanjaro. After necessary check-ins, the journey takes you through lush agricultural landscapes at the mountain’s foothills before reaching the Londorosi Gate. Proceeding from the gate, you will hike through the native montane rainforest, known for its diverse wildlife and bird species such as colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and various birds.
