After breakfast you will go on a game drive in the park, exploring the best of what eastern Rwanda has to offer. You will take some final pictures of the various animals and enjoy the views before exiting the park for lunch. You will then transfer back to Kigali. Your overnight will be at a hotel. An early morning breakfast is followed by a drive to Nyungwe forest. On the way visit Nyanza King’s Palace, the National Museum of Butare and Nyanza which was the headquarters of the ancient Rwanda Kingdom before the arrival of the Europeans. The compound has the modern palace constructed by King Mutara in 1934. It is tastefully decorated with the traditional mats and utensils. After breakfast you will enter the Nyungwe forest to track the Nyungwe colobus monkey. A walk into the forest with our knowledgeable guides well versed in botany, ornithology, and interspecies relationships will be a whole new learning experience for you. You will return to the guest house for lunch and Drive back to Kigalil.
